Avatar

Avatars are images that identify a person's picture throughout the user interface. It is used when identification of people is necessary, for example in chat apps. One may badge the Avatar with: Modifier Badges (with text e.g. number of messages), Classifier Badges.

  • Use it in sizes that divide by 32 for optimal viewing. (32, 64, 128, …)

Shouldn't be used​

  • In Navigation Rails.
  • In Chips. (Too small to discern what it is.)
  • In Overlay Buttons.
  • In Empty Pages.
